VarIO - CANopen modules
The VarIO-system is a modular CANopen system. It provides a custom designed assembly of peripheral I/O- and interface components. Therefor, the individual components are subdivided into three groups: VarIO bus coupler, VarIO I/O modules and VarIO housings.
The flexibility of the system makes it possible to reconfigure the components with additional I/Os, remove I/O modules or rearrange their order at any time. If the bus system of the application is changed, only the bus coupler has to be replaced. This makes the VarIO system useful for either fixed applications or testing purposes for a limited duration.
A minimum VarIO bond is made of a VarIO bus coupler modul (VarIO-BC-CO-XX) and another VarIO-module. The maximum number of I/O modules is limited to 12 by the systems hardware.
